Most candidate elections in Arizona are determined in the Primary Election where only 1,452,089 people voted in August of 2020. Partisan primary elections become a problem when primary voters (that’s only 36% percent of registered voters) are responsible for choosing who wins the general election by default. Join us for a conversation to explore alternative nonpartisan primary structures that could engage better candidates and encourage voter turnout — making our system work better for ALL Arizonans.
